Volunteering

Volunteering: the Royal Road to Fulfillment

There are three different ways you can discover and choose a career:

  1. Diffuse Avoidant – just drift through life from day to day, committed to nothing.
  2. Normative – do what your family and friends expect you to do.
  3. Research Life – explore and experiment, try things out, and see what works for you.

Which path are you following?

Which path leads to the greatest sense of fulfillment?

There are six activities that you can do every day as you research and experiment.

Volunteering gets you there!

  • Learning something new
  • Helping others
  • Interacting with others
  • Playing
  • Exercising
  • Spiritual activity, meditation
  • Hobbies that are easy and enjoyable

And these activities should ideally be:

  • Affordable
  • Available
  • Accessible
  • Adaptable
  • Alternative
  • Accompanied by someone else
  • Aware of importance of  exercise  (150 minutes/week)
