Seeing What Has Always Been There<\/strong><\/p>\n

For most of human history, people thrived in groups of roughly 25 to 30 – small, coherent units capable of working together efficiently and effectively to ensure their very survival.
\nThis natural form of social tensegrity is universal, ancient, and hardwired.<\/p>\n

And yet, as communities grow, something predictable happens: engagement collapses. The Gallup Engagement Survey data echoes what history has shown repeatedly – beyond about 30 people, the natural coherence of small groups breaks down.<\/p>\n

Why We Haven\u2019t Solved This<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve lacked the instruments to see<\/em> the underlying architecture.
\nJust as telescopes and microscopes revealed hidden worlds, new conceptual tools are now revealing the structures that maintain natural social tensegrity.<\/p>\n

The word tensegrity<\/em> itself didn\u2019t exist until Buckminster Fuller and his peers introduced it in the 1970s. Biotensegrity – <\/em>the tensegrity structure of living systems – emerged even later.
\nOnly now can we perceive the patterns that make social tensegrity possible.<\/p>\n

We needed to see tensegrity and biotensegrity\u2026 before we could see social tensegrity.<\/p>\n
